the best thriller to date..now if only i speak german.
yes. i swear we're still recoiling from the agony of the amazing cinematography that is FUNNY GAMES. it was perfect and crisp and delightful and disturbing and audience inclusive and grotesque and lovely. in a nutshell- a definite must see if you appreciate thrillers. this has no gore. its simplicity is what makes it so good.

i have to watch my hyperbole. i know some would disagree.



When the film was screened at Cannes in 1997 it shocked the audience badly enough that many viewers, including some film critics, walked out of the screening. Director Michael Haneke told producer 'Viet Heiduschka' during the production that if the film was a success, it would be because audiences had misunderstood the meaning behind it. -imdb
